Vinnie's family is an interesting one, we have his bird friend, which is kind of like a spoof take-off of Jeremy from Secret of NIMH. There's Jim, a soldier, his wife Eudora who is Vinnie's mother, big brother Terrance. Eudora would both become an Annie Oakley impersonator but also be the main inspiration for her, at least so she claims.
Their family is still divided by opinion over being a Confederate and a Union soldier, even after the war for the humans has been over. So deep is the dividie that it causes the family to eventually fall apart...
