I had a lot of fun with this page. Mostly the coins, too. I made sure they looked somewhat authentic, including the Queen Victoria phrases and imagery.
I don't believe in the whole Mousetoria thing. I think it's a lot easier to bring something somewhat modern into the past so it's easier for others to follow, including myself. Everyone shares a part, and while cats can indeed chase mice, and dogs chase cats, they all contribute in an equality to make things work. Their own society, in a way.
As noted before, and said again for some newcomers, Patrick's presence is pretty huge. There are others like him, and will fight for him, which aid in his complete jury-rigging of the world around him. However, while his piers will settle for fighting amongst themselves, Patrick prefers bigger, bolder challenges, and proves it. Those that consider him a complete sham will do anything to deter that legacy, and will sieze the opportunity eventually.
When the later issues come out next year, I hope to be able to show it off.
And yeah. xD Patrick and Vinnie broke into a bank and used their own concocted dynamite to see what lies in the safe. If he distributes it, or keeps it mint, he might be able to pass it around to keep some good food on the table for he and Vinnie.
